That was cool! I was expecting to see a vid of guys drifting their motorbikes around a track, which I think is retarded, but they kept it interesting.

Agreed and not so far over the top that it's tacky. Well orchestrated.

+1 Sono.... first thing I thought was respect for keeping it off road/closed course.

Makes me wish I was 20 years younger with the resources I have now...

Daft Punk - Sets the tone nicely, although I can't stand the new term "Dubstep". Who the hell started that, thats all ya hear nowadays.

I'm actually generally a fan of the Daft Punk. Arion is on that track too, but both tracks selected are pretty distinctly "Dubstep" - which has become almost ridiculously prevalent in sports videos lately.

Basically, my definition of Dubstep is a highly electronic sound (a la techno) with the added features of a very prevalent and halting baseline. That is, that effect where they wind up the base line and then set it => da da da Booooom.....ddd dda da and Boom. Unlike older techno, which was designed for dancing really as an extension of disco, dubstep is (as far as my white ass can tell) totally un-dance-able.

That said, the wind-up and release style does kindof work well with stunts. On the other hand, it's over-use is both comical and tiring.

Which is not to say it was a bad vid.

                    Dubstep:

                    Drums beat faster
                    Drums beat faster
                    Drums beat faster
                    Someone says something

I was big into techno when I lived in Florida.. huge club scene from around '98 - '03 and learned to appreciate the "house" beats, so to speak.. but it just seems like ove the past year or two, Dubstep is all I hear. It def has a superior baseline but stuff like Basshead doesn't work well with me. I like the old electronic bass.. goes back to my car stereo competiton days

We gotta be about the same age then. I was a big clubber back then too. My wife asks me (and my old college friend), what was so crazy about those days...

                          Ummm...

I stand corrected. You can dance to Dubstep:

                            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2VEXpPrvWY

Nope. Not gonna be doing that.

Please don't! Holy shit.. thats a bad "dance".

                              Possibly... mid 30's here

I used to party with DJ baby Anne in Orlando... had mutual friends. Shes a total hottie too. Sunday nights at House of Blues was SIN (Service Industry Nights) and ohhhhhhh boy..... wanna talk about W I D E E Y E S! All electric/techno every Sunday in that setting was incredible. Totally different vibe then... sure the "X" is the same though!
