    seat cowl replacement

    Hi Hypno Toad,
Im glad to post these pics for you.

I just got your fibre glass cowl delivered home...

Since this is the first cowl made I asked the factory to open the tail section and include the tail lights brackets as well.
Im enclosing socket screws that will take the push pin part.

Allow me this mount the cowl on my bike this afternoon to take more photos....so everyone stay tuned

Wow. Just, wow. I have a repaired OEM cowl at the painters and I'm kicking myself a bit, at the moment....

What are the "socket screws" that will replace the push-pins?

        Wow +1

That looks soo much more professional than my CF cowl. If I wasn't working towards a full CF Hawk, I'd have one of those...

Doug, I believe the socket screws are to go into the threaded inserts seen on the inside. The stock cowls have four plastic 'snap-fit' type forked-pins that plug into rubber grommets on the subframe and the passenger footpeg hangers.

                Well depends,
you either want the tail section closed/no tail light brackets $100
or tail opened up/with tail light brackets on $115

Shipping to your place, incl paypal fees, packaging $60
Combined shipping should cut down the costs of shipping by around half roll:

For extra $5,- Im enclosing stock cowl GT647/Honda stickers too

Im considering a closed cowl for myself with e.g. a Ducati 999 tail light set up

                        Hi Kathy,
the cover is on the way
Youll have that on friday, I think.

Its a shame you did have to wait that long!
I remember you submitted your order back with the 3rd round
when even the 2nd group buy wasnt completed yet.
It was a bad timing thing.

Thats our son Richard helping out haul the 3rd round to the post office

BTW How do you like this image?

The cowls are due to be finished in about 3 weeks time!
Can I reserve one for you then?

                        regards, Fabian

I love the image! I'll put that on a T-Shirt.

Your kid is cute. Are you saving an extra Hawk for him?

Yep, I'm in line for a rear seat cowl with tail light opening for the stock taillight. I want to have the Hawk painted Big Bird Yellow after this season is over. No sense in wasting paint on that old ABS plastic.
