A co-racer of mine just arrived in DAYTONA FL and just found out that a strap holding the bike slid and pressed the starter button the entire way from Massachusetts to Florida. Aprox 1700 miles. Obviously you can do the math. Starter button pressed for a long time = cooked starter. He will not be practicing today and will be looking to tear the bike apart to see if he can do anything about it. I am trying to help out and reach out to anyone in that area that may have a starter that works to help out a fellow HAWK that will be racing in DAYTONA in the Race of Champions this week. Chris followed in my steps and is the 2007 Amateur Ultralight Superbike Champion. He is doing what I should have done last year. Please help. PM me if you can help. I will provide his cell for contact.
If nothing comes into fruition he will end up bump starting the bike.
Thanks Gino
