What do you guys think of a Motorcycle Scavenger Hunt??

Below is a guide from another forum.

I was thinking we can adapt it and make it more universal. I don't know what the winner would get other than bragging rights but we could work that out as well.
You'd have to have a Pic of your Hawk in the photo and post it up here.

I like the idea of going on a ferris wheel in full gear, but this hunt seems strongly biased toward New Englanders.

depending on when it's started it might be biased towards west-coasters... there's no way I'm riding when it's 20 out

I ythink we shoudl make it a year long or several month long challenge. and the person with the msot points win.

I think it should be for sure not so specific.

          A National Forest
A Sunset on a Beach (or lake if no beaches nbear by)
Any Large statue of a animal

          stuff like that

We coudl throw in bonus points for things like Vegas, Grand Canyon and other thigns you crazies on the right coast have.

it sounds liek fun and would motivate me to get out there and ride awesoem places... the only problem is I don't have a ny motorcycle buddies... and I dunno hwo i feel abotu road tripping by myself.

I'm in on this I always like taking random roads and finding stuff. But we would definatly have to make it for warmer weather. Right now its 30 out and my bikes in pieces in the garage.

... then the Hunt is officially ON!

Let's make it just a bit harder: only photos taken between April 2007 to November 2007 count. So mark each of your photos with the date you took the picture!

Yeah, and I'm going to get a photo with Angelina Jolie, myself and my Hawk all together. Specifically between the months of April and November of this year.

I guess creative substitutions should be allowed... How about you, your Hawk and the Blarney Stone, with a photo of George Washington in your hand? Or with a map of the state of Washington?

                            My ideas:

We make certain "tiers" of points based on difficulty of things, and those things will be in their own tier category.

Like finding a bridge is pretty easy so that's 10 points, but a shot with Angelina Jolie will be damn near impossible, so that's 1,000 points.

We can throw in modifiers that will multiply the points of that given situation, i.e. in the rain doubles the point value, or in the snow triples it, or in a dust storm quadruples it, a volcano (going off) or tornado in the background multiplies it by ten, etc. A sunset would be worth maybe double as well.

So a 10 point bridge in front of a 10X multiplier tornado means that bridge is worth 100 points.

I was reading that list as if it said "must have bike in photo," which seriously compounds the difficulty of the shot. Now I notice it says "you and/or your bike" - but I think we should establish that you have to have at least ridden to get to wherever you took the picture... so, I guess a photo with your gear on, at least, kinda proves that...

There's a small chance I'm riding out to Wisconsin in early May to hear the Dalai Lama speak... there's also a good chance I'll still be in Poland that same week, since my brother-in-law is getting married in late April - so this may not even happen. But if I go, I'm definitely going to try to get a photo with the Dalai Lama.
