      THE HAPS ...
Be it stated that there was a Friday Afternoon Tech Session with participants: Danny, Melmsrt4 (Mike), Sootz (Paul), Nomoduc (Lynn), and Jimmy30. There was mention of replacing a rusty chain, breaking the seal on bourbon and a bunch of ‘adjustments’ having been made ... stirrings of the crew in the early Saturday AM were slow and measured, seemingly preoccupied with casting about for signs of the previous evening, although no mention was spoken of the Genesis Rock Concert.

Saturday morning was cloudless and the 60-degree temperature indicated it was going to turn into a beautiful day. Faster675 (Ole) was the first Hawk rider to arrive. We were soon joined by others ... Bernie on an Aprilia, Doug, “I gotta Duke’”, Mike , “End the Fed’”, on an FZ09.

Bowman71 (Kurt) also reported a chain problem which resulted in a quick replacement. Then, as riders started to stage for departure to ‘The Little Cafe’, Melmsrt4 (Mike) suffered an electrical issue.

Breakfast at The Little Cafe was great! Although small, the wait staff quickly assembled tables and chairs to accommodate us. Joining the crew at this point ... Socalrc31 (Ken), Garbodp (Brian) on an FZ07, Bowman71 (Kurt) and twin bro NT647 (Kevin) and Biotech (Zili).

Danny’s dog, Abby, kept everyone on their toes as she went about her inspection duties.

Thanks for posting pics and write up John!

And Thanks Danny for hosting this year's rally. Believe me I know how much work it is. Don't forget to delegate and let go. Don't try to do it all yourself. We're all here to help.

Yes folks, I had another tech fest to get my bike running for this rally, but I ultimately failed at the last minute on the way to breakfast this morning. Didn't even make it or off Danny's parking lot. Main fuse issue from working in the headlight bucket. We'll work on it tonight to see if I make it to Sunday's ride.

To everyone who expects to pickup their shirts at the rally, please come see me. Thanks again everyone for coming. Please post up you're pics.

Home at last! Cheers to a fantastic weekend, meeting some great Hawkers and an awesome ride! Riding in the A group was just about the best thing I have ever had the opportunity to do! Can say I have never pushed my Hawk quite to that level and it was a JOY to experience.
