    I talked to her tonight.

This girl is so fucking tough. She has trouble talking and she pushed through that to let me know that she is PISSED OFF. So mad. At EVERYTHING! At the nurse, the doc, the procedures, the ICU rules, me, her mom, and for sure the tube sticking out of her neck.... and on and on.,,,

There is still a fire in there burning hot. It gave me some hope. So fucking tough.

So far no changes since last night. The nurse said in ICU that is a good thing. At least she has not gotten worse. Good things!

Not a lot of change except she has developed MRCA while in the hospital. They may be pulling the tube out of her neck to avoid more infection.

You text me yo. I always text you first.

She can't have visitors in ICU except immediate family. She can't have flowers and gifts and shit sent there either (others have asked). Hopefully she gets back to a regular unit.

I'm so sorry hear about what you two are going through. Andy, I have been in your position, and it really sucks when
you are the guy who fixes things....and can't. And....men think they are the tough ones; women soften themselves, because
men like that, but when needed, they can dig deep and amaze you with their toughness.

Please remember to take care of yourself, too. It's easy to forget to do when crap like this is happening.

You hit the nail on the head. In our relationship it's not secret that I steer the ship and she is there for support. She takes care of me and when the shit hits the fan I'm the one that fixes it.

                            I can't fix this.

Update: from a biological standpoint still nothing has changed. That is still a good thing. But something else is going on with her.

Today is her birthday. I called to wish her happy birthday. She did not know it was her birthday, even after I told her. She keeps repeating herself that she is doing bad. She won't say much else but that she loves me. This has been going on for two days. The docs are now classifying her as delusional. They don't know why.

                            It's a little concerning.

So apparently the MRSA is a far bigger problem than I thought. It is in her blood, not on her skin. The meds then would give her for the MRSA will strengthen the auto immune problems. And the meds they would give her for the auto immune issues will strengthen the MRSA.

The infections disease team and the rheumatology team are meeting tonight to try to get a plan together.
