MP3 Players

I just purchased the new Ipod Nano, and love it. Anyone else around that uses a MP3 Player on you bike? It was a bit difficult to get the ear buds to stay in my ears while putting my helmet on. Is there another type of headphones that will work better?

I found my mp3 player somewhere for pretty cheap, and it works well! It's the RaveMP or something. 2.5 gigs, mini hard drive style. Plays music, what can i say.

I have a problem with the ear buds too. My helmet just squeezes itself past my ears when I put it on, so it tends to push the buds way out of whack. Maybe something that hooked around the ear would be better? Know what Im talking about?

I used a sweat head band over my ears today and it works perfect.
Problem Solved. Machismo...how much did you pay for the 2.5 gig player? I really like the Nano, and trust the apple brand.

My hair's on the long side, so I tend to wear a bandana underneath the helmet. If I tie it so it covers my ears, it'll hold the ear buds in.

I use an ipod as well - the earbuds work fine.

I insert the earbuds, and while pulling my helmet over my ears I fold the tops of my ears over the earbuds and slide the helmet over my ears as they are folded down... Works 99.9% of the time.

Worked when my hair was down to my waist too.

I paid about $50 or $60 for it. Apple is a big name and really popular, but I've heard their batteries like dying and heck...The price tags were enough to convince me! I'll try the headband thing I think...that's a damn good idea!

I have the ipod mini. i'd like to get a Nano one of these days but for now it's fine...

I use a set of the Etymotic ER6i earbud. they aren't cheap but the sound is excellent and they also block out all the unwanted noise. I use them riding all the time, as well as when I travel on planes and such. Just stick them in, put on some good tunes and tune out the world for a few hours..

I got mine on Amazon a few months ago when they were on sale. maybe $90 for them but they are worth their weight in gold.. trust me!

I have a Ipod mini too but I have a feeling my girlfriend's gonna own it in a few weeks. haha...

I happen to work for a company that has a partnership with Apple. We get everything at a 15-25% discount. That iPod Nano is looking really good right now.

When you get the Nano, get a screen protector FIRST.
The damn thing scratches too easily!
Other than that, you'll love it.

I use a zen micro 5gb in a boxwave aluminum case, it's like a tiger tank. Excellent sound quailty.
You guys should check out http://www.allofmp3.com/. I'd never use a music player on a bike though, slows down the reflexes, reflexes which have saved me on several occasions.

I've used allofmp3.com and the site is pretty cool. However there has been a complaint about credit card fraud through several of the russian mp3 sites. I would recommend buying a Visa gift card and using that to buy mp3s.
