    I know better but....

No one will want to post here cause no one does stupid stuff.
    Yeah...
So I put tire protecterant on my tires knowing that it was a bad idea, but I wanted them to look glossy, but, unlike a car the tread changes with the turn, more turn , new tread exposed, so you can bust your ass, but I was going to scrub it all off in the morning, so... Well, I was late for work and did not take the time to clean my tires and in the first turn I hit I got sideways and almost hit a work crew unloading a truck across the stret from me. The look on their faces as I slid at them sideways.!! I did recover somehow, and did not highside, but it was ugly. My tires do look good though. I know better than to do that but.....

meguires natural shine.... just put one coat on by spraying a rag/applicator, and rubbing the tire.... then if you want, use a green sotchbrite to rub it off the tread area.

its not sippery once dry(3mins or so).. and applied in that fashion, can even be used on the seat, pegs, grips... or on cars, the steering wheel, pedals, and shifter.

it makes it look clean and NEW.. not super shiny. if you do multiple coats, or one heavy coat, or spray it on directly, it may be a little slippery... not as bad as most, but still, dont do it.

dont try this with another one other then meguires Natural Shine... i havent found one that works like it yet.

i just wipe the little side walls ONLY might not be worth the effort for some and when im done i just go hit the off ramps on the local freeways. that cleans up the rest of the tire reall nice

thanks for confirming that its a bad idea

Wait... you mean instead of going down (glad you didn't btw), you saved it by sliding sideways on both tires at a road crew and stopped just short? Dude... that's like something from a Starboys video.

You have to teach me that one.

          Slide

Yep, sideways, morning dew on the road and very slick. I did not highside it, and never stopped, just turned into the slide laid off the throttle and straightened out and kept going. I don't know why I did not lose it, certainly not riding skill as I had been riding for less than a year. Beginners luck I guess. So far I've only dropped my bike twice, I've got to remember to put my feet down at red lights! Naw, only dropped it twice when parking and the ground was slick and I was careless.
