    old guy

    Hello
I have just discovered this forum after 16 yrs of hawk ownership! being in england I imported the hawk from Brooklyn ,New York (Carls Honda) brand new. Then I found Two Brothers Racing and became friends with Craig who helped me to modify my Hawk supplying many parts too numerous to mention.

It got to the stage where I was approached by the Editor of Performance Bikes to feature the bike in his magazine and he declared it to be the best bike he had ever ridden in 1992!.If anyone wants a copy of the article I can pdf it to you and /or photos.

It was used for trips to hockenheim moto gp and superbikes at Assen.and track days .It has only done 12000 miles but I was getting older and faster at these track days and decided i would not bounce as well so stopped riding bikes.

It has been stored in my garage for the last 3 years and \I have now decided I want to sell it to an enthusiastic owner, its not fair leaving it there. So I am not asking silly money ,so photos or the mag.article, get in touch you will not regret it.

Hey Ozzies! Post that article up right here! There are a few hawk/bros owners in your neck of the woods, as well as a hawk/bros group. JR hails from England, among others.

I still have a copy of that mag! Simon Hargreaves in his leathers that looked like a tube of toothpaste doing a big wheelie on your Hawk-it was fantastic!

Sorry to hear you're not riding any longer but it will be great to see your Hawk back in action .

Hang in there Ozzies. I too bought my Hawk new in 1989! As an aging rider I've "downgraded" to a Sport Tourer for commuting duty. A Kawi Concours (a GTR to you) but will hold onto my Hawk till my son pulls me off holding a cane! I still love riding the Hawk on weekends and occationally summer commuting.
