What do you think about this bike?? I found one that is in good condition in pictures for $2250. Do you think this is a good buy??

About as far from a Hawk as you can get in the sportybike realm

I love em- big old brutes with a heap of power. There's almost limitless mods to them-easiest way to make em handle better is to stick a 750 swingarm on...and not that it needs the help but it wheelies easier like that too ( it's certainly had the wheelie wire snipped by now). They are big and they are heavy and they do have a really horrible riding position but they're pretty daggumed cool. Some people would say streetfighter it,I would say nah.

The average squid on a 600 wouldn't know what it is- leave R6's for dead from a roll-on

well I gess this topic not to populer anyway I talked to the guy who has the bike and I might be able to get it for 1600 to 1500. So I was going to go look at it. It will most likey be a bike I would pick up and the sell in a few mounths. Use it to learn some more about street riding. I know how to ride dirt but have not done to much on the street.

Man,it's one hell of a bike to learn on - big power and big weight. If it's in decent shape,$1500 is a steal but take it easy on that thing!

well I got the bike for $1500 in cash. It had been laid and got some straches on the plastic but its all fixable. Some thing I can do in school. I know what you mean about takeing it easy it a power full bike.

I will when I get some good pics of the bike.
I got one of my avartor pic. I think I will keep it for a little bit. Got to see if I like the ride. I have not ridden for to long. I would I rode it for about 1 to 2 miles but when I picked it I had loaded it in a truck bed to get it home.

If anyone wants a 1992 gsxr750, the nicest one in you'll find, brand new beautiful black paint, lots of engine work, everything done right, owned by the most obsessive vehicle guy I know, Think he wants $3k for it. I was ready to buy it but then I found my Hawk...

Congrats on the deal you found Deadlego, just remember not to skimp on a second skin to learn in, thats a beast you've got there. Remember road rash gets cleaned out with steel wool and no anesthetic

                        FWHAWK!!!

Why did I not see this before....

Deadlego.... Just how much riding experience do you have?!!!

That thing is a MONSTER! A friend of mine had one and he could light the back tire up going 40mph down the street and just leave a long blackie!

IMHO that is WAY too much bike for a first streetbike.

                        Be careful!

i guess... but really, the only people that ride long and live are the people who pay attention ALL the time... but i know what you mean... on a hawk, to powerslide the rear out from under you, it might have to be raining, but on that bike, it can be dry and ideal... but in either case..... you shouldnt be nailing the throttle on like that. lol..
