random shifter kart thought..

hey, umm, just a random thought..

why do shifterkart guys still wear "fireproof style drivers suits" instead of leathers?

i know if i was racing one of thoes, espically seeing how they crash, id want leathers over nomex...

Most likely it is because they are belted into the cart and it gives the corner workers time to get them out if they are unconscious.

I am sure you can wear both.

For the record there is no such thing as a seat belt in any form of kart racing. Sure maybe in the go-karts at 6 Flags Great Adventure but not in actual competition karts.

i didnt think there was, but ive never had the opportunity to race one... ive seen races and wrecks online, so i know they fly out of the kart and skid across the ground....
