On my bros 650 speedo there is a red light at the bottom of the circle with "speed" written above it. Having seen various screenshots of Hawk speedos this light is not present on any of them. Does anyone know what it is a warning light for?

Yeah folks I'm not sure if it's just the japanese Bros but It does have to do with the speed limits. I just figure it's the light to tell me I've finally reached the correct speed!
The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred traveling speed to the number of bad scars on his body.

LOL I had one of those on a VW I once had. I took the dash apart one day and found the wire and cut it! Problem solved!Rob

I wondered what it was as it never came on on my bike. I guess a previous owner knobbled it already. I was hoping it might have been a petrol light that came on just before you hit reserve, no such luck then.'88 Bros NT650J
