    Red light on speedo

On my bros 650 speedo there is a red light at the bottom of the circle with "speed" written above it. Having seen various screenshots of Hawk speedos this light is not present on any of them. Does anyone know what it is a warning light for?

It seems to come on when you hit about 6omph.
All I can guess is that over in Japan the max road speed may be 60mph
and this is a gentle reminder to SLOW DOWN!!!!!
    I'm just guessing

Comes on about 90 kph on mine (Bros). Quite annoying at night. Can it be turned off? ie can the instrument cluster be opened? I must chedck the manual later when I get a chance.

Yeah folks I'm not sure if it's just the japanese Bros but It does have to do with the speed limits. I just figure it's the light to tell me I've finally reached the correct speed!

LOL I had one of those on a VW I once had. I took the dash apart one day and found the wire and cut it! Problem solved!

I wondered what it was as it never came on on my bike. I guess a previous owner knobbled it already. I was hoping it might have been a petrol light that came on just before you hit reserve, no such luck then.
