For those with the CB400F or a cafe racer...

    So I have my CB400F...

It needs a headlight and retaining ring (Has the bucket). Can I use the comparable parts from a similar Honda? There are a few on Ebay and I want to grab one but I want to make sure it will fit.

What do you guys use for headlights?

What do you guys use for blinkers?

    Thanks.

    CB350 caffer...
all broken turn signals and stock cb350 headlight, which some previous owner dipped in chrome. (bike is "off the road" now)
    nor mirrors...
    nor brakes...
    gaskets...
    suspension...

...you name it, this bike is DeeeVoid of it. so glad to be on my hawk now. i really began loathing that thing. Worst part was, it would get compliments about how awesome it was all the time.

I have always used the stock headlight. Not real bright by modern standards but he it's a 30 year old bike.

The winkers on those things are huge though.

I use I think they are Emgos or lockhardt Philips. They bolt right into the headlight bucket up front. In back I drilled holes in the frame.

Here is another forum I sometimes hop on.

It should keep you filled with ideas for a while.

I used the stock headlight with cheap universal "ears" found on eBay or local bike shops - no more than $15 for the pair. Signals are nice LP jobs with aluminum bodies, fit better with the old skool theme than plastic bodied ones.

You should be able to get both parts from Honda. I know you can get headlight, the rim might come back NLA. I know the headlight has special nuts welded onto the metal part of the light where the rim attaches to the actual bulb. Other Honda stuff from that era may work, but for only $70 I would not take the risk.

Part Number Quantity Description List Price Your Price!
            33101-369-670 RIM, HEADLIGHT $48 $35.11
            33120-333-670 HEADLIGHT UNIT $44.39 $35.42

            $70.53

And I am not why someone drilled a hole into the frame to mount rear turn signals. You can use the hole for the stock turn signals as shown in the picture of the black bike.
