I dont know how many people here shop on Ebay but as Im building my Hawk hybrid!! I look for deals to keep the cost down. You may already Know this but its some info I have learned and thought I would pass it on to help others.
Bottom line I just bought a brand new hemet from a dealership that advertises on Ebay.I bought This hemet for $200 less than MSRP and ebay List price, at almost 1/2 the cost! The little thing that says "or best offer" is your friend!! all you have to do is offer what you want to pay for it and the seller either takes your offer or gives you a counter offer. I have saved $450 on 3 items totaling just over $1200 thats more that 33%. If they have a Phone # to get ahold of them call as well to try to work out a deal, then you dont have to mess with the whole auction thing.
The deal with the Helmet was the dealership could not advertise to sell the lid for less than MSRP or else Suomy would get upset. if you make an offer they like they will take it and you have yoursefl a beautiful new crash hat (or any part) for a fraction of the cost!!
I shop around and always look for the best deal and now I have come to look for auctions with the "or best offer" tag!!
Just passing on a leason I learned that I wish I new a year ago.I always thought New parts and gear from a dealership were priced as marked and non negociable (sp?).
Im so stoked my new Bash Hat should be here Tuesday!
