Well Going to pick Another PC 800

Came across a PC 800 At a low price. At them time it is not running but seems like it most likely gas issue. This is make the 2nd one we have. The plastics are in good shape too.

The guy said when it was runnning it started to run a little rought, then he let it sit for like a couple of mounths or some thing and went to start it and it would not start. It truns over. Sounds like it want to start at least to me. You guys have any idea?

Do you guys think that 95,000 is high mileage for this bike???

    thanks

..... My dad got it not me. When we got there to pick it up the guy was not there but we had paid for it and gotten title and ever thing so we loaded it in the tailer. ( we knew he was not going to be there and it was ok with the guy if we picked it up.) When we picked it up we put the key in the bike and tried starting it and it started and it was like it started. we got home and we got it started too. ran it for a little bit then seen it was leaking gas from somewhere.

Hi deadlego- I think alot of motorcyclists, not just those around here, don't care much for them because you can't see any of what makes it a motorcycle except for the two wheels. Its like a big scooter or something. What appeals to many about the hawk gt is the lack of all the body work. It has lots of "character", which is hard to define exactly but most bikers I know recognize that the pc is lacking it. Your own bike has some character so maybe you know what I mean. In the motorcycle world the pc isan appliance. That said I know that people who own them love then. So there you go- your mileage may vary!

One of the guys I work with has PC. He likens it to a motorcycle station wagon. It does look like a big scooter, not really my style but interesting. I keep trying to get him to rip all the fairings off and make what would probably be the world's first pc "streetfighter". He isn't going for it. I am pretty sure it is a v-twin too. Not sure how similar to the hawk motor it is.

My eyes! Some things in life just can't be "unseen"!

I tried to talk my wife into a PC800 (a nice used one was for sale locally - it even had custom paint.... um in the form of roses on it) but it was too big for her. It's a crying shame Honda didn't punch out the Translap engine and put it in the PC.
Ok I'm just "what if" dreaming here! :P

I would have considered one had I found one when shopping. Instead I commute on a Concours.

Everything I've ever read about them said it had a V4 motor in it.

a coworker of mine that rides a magna told me the magna and the vfr are the same motor, just tuned down for the magna. maybe the pc has the same motor too. i wouldnt put it past honda, anyone ever take a close look at a shadow 700 motor looks alot like a hawkgt.

Nah it is a v-twin with 3 valve head, but is 45 degree? Apparently based on a shadow vt800. Here are a few quick links I found
