Congrats. That is bloody cheap. I paid £800 for mine with 35k miles on the clock. Sounds like you got a bargain there.

          Thanks guys.

Yeah was really sweating the last half hour, it seemed to be ticking up fast to exceed my budget. Manually sniped it in the last 2 seconds, which I'm sure clinched it.

Collecting it Saturday, be back home late Sunday, and I'll post piccys once it's had a wash and polish. On which note, is it possible to upload piccys here, or do I have to sort out some sort of external hosting?

          And grats too fasteddie!

Yep, you have to use external hosting and link to the pictures from here. Have you got far to travel to pick the bike up?

              Ahhh right thanks Swipe.

Yeah going to be a pretty long day. Getting the train at 6:30 am in the morning to London, then to sellers place by about 1:00pm.

Hopefully headed back by 2:00pm at the latest as I won't be getting the stopover in Somerset - friends are away at the Malvern Show (hopefully it isn't hit too bad with the weather for them).

Got a feeling I might be headed back through thunderstorms, hehe.

Just been looking at your bros on ebay. You have certainly got a cracking bargain there with 10kmiles and as tidy as hell + 12 months MOT. I think the weather might work out ok for you. You're lucky you weren't picking it up today.

Rained so bad on my way out of London, I got lost! lol! Loads of cars conking out with lost electrics so traffic was dire. Made it to the first services on the M4 by about 4:00pm, and the weather wasn't too bad from there.

Tyres on the bike are original fitment Bridgestones, still with plenty of life in them!

                  Original battery!

Front disk got changed for an EBC to improve the braking, and it works very nice (presumably EBC pads too, from the feel of them). Rather than do the twin disk setup and CBR forks, etc., I might just change the springs and oil. Rear brake was a bit vague and reluctant at first, but with the miles and me giving it a regular prompting, it worked itself in and is fine now (though front and rear calipers will get stripped down and serviced, along with fluid changes, before too long).

Front mudguard could use a repaint, tank has a spot of rust (definitely going to change the tank for more capacity anyway - I got into the 'hunting for garages' thing and didn't like it), seat surround could use a repaint (after my luggage on it, hehe - have to get a sports rack), gear shift I'll change (bit small for me). Other than that, it just needs a clean and a polish. Oh and the mirrors had an attack of the collywobbles and ended up all over the place, so I'll get some better ones sorted.

Engine seemed fine enough on collection, but was improving with every mile on the journey back. Couldn't pull max revs in top though (*grins*). Noise from the standard exhaust isn't bad, but could use a little more 'presence' to enhance safety I think - but no panic on that.

It was serviced for the MoT, but I'll do an oil change soon, as getting a 25 ltr drum of CI-4 Plus sorted between myself and the friend with the Aprilia Futura (his brother works in a factors).

No plug spanner in the kit, no chain adjuster (chain looks fine for a while), everything else there. I'll have to get them PDQ.

Not back at dad's yet, stopped at my place so friends could have a look at it and a go on it (one is now set on buying one as well to commute on and save the miles on his Fireblade). I left the camera at dad's, as I didn't want to risk ruining it if it got wet, so no piccys yet.

Liking the bike very very much.
