I bought mine as a basket case as a project. Ive allways wanted to really modify a bike, and was thinking of getting another nc30. The thing that was putting me off, was the NCs are pretty much tuned to the max standard and fitting HRC kits is very expensive. After i bought my better half a 400 bros for xmas i stripped it down, resprayed it and generally gave it a good overhauling. Thats what gave me the bug again to start playing with spanners etc. I have a 954 blade and its not the sort of bike that needs much attention, so the bros fits the bill, as its a lot of fun, and modifications need not cost the earth!

    cheers

I WAS riding mine every day until I spilled at the track. Now its lonely and has a busted tach. As soon as the broken fingers on my right hand heal it'll be back on the road. Unless anyone out there knows how I could rig up a left handed throttle/brake/clutch

Well, I'm afraid I have to put my hand up to being a weekend warrior, and a very fair weather one at that.

I try to take the Bros out on both days every weekend, occasionally make a trip to work on it if it's nice and also if I take a day off. I refuse to take it out in the wet as I don't own any waterproofs anymore (I sold them on ebay as they were too small for me now) and wet muddy roads make it such a bitch to clean.

I'm afraid I also lack confidence in the technical department as I don't have a garage and, only having an uncovered side alley to work in, I'm afraid of getting caught short by bad weather. I'd wheel the bike inside the house if I could fit it in. I'd love a decent brick-built garage but I could only manage that if house prices ever crashed over here. Here's hoping.

Riding mine every day to and back from work, and enjoying every minute of it.
Its not gone yet and I already regret selling it.

Mine's been running pretty much trouble free since I bought it used in 1992.

Mine obviously needs a carb cleaning and some jet work.... but as long as I can stay on the gas it likes to go! When I have to keep a constant slow speed it coughs, occasionally backfires and once in a while stalls completely. So I try to stay on the gas And I ride it everyday. Interestingly it doesn't seem to cough as mush riding in a torrential doqwnpour, like I did last night

Um: one running, registered, needs nothing but gas,one running and registered, needs fork seals and tires, one not running - needs battery, clutch cable and levers for track and all lighting for street, one track only needs a new motor.
