chicago to quebec city and back

hay everyone that trip is finally coming up soon.

for any locals that wants to meet up in toronto i will be there june 29.
pm me so i can figure out ahead of time where the meeting place would be.

i have made this trip a few times on a motorcycle hawkgt, and buell this will be the first time on the rc51 total travel time is 18 hours or 1000 miles i brake it in to two 8 hour days. its nice and i never have to be in a rush.
my main problem will be the stock seat. my ass gets tired after about an hour or two. anyone got any cheap tips that might help?
i saw a guy on a long trip on a gsxr one time and he had a pillow tied to the seat.
i wanted to get a corbin for it but just ran out of money and time.

    heres the route im taking.

In the harley/cruiser market there are gel pad seat covers... I don't know if they would fit an rc51 but you never know. They might have them at your local harley dealer or you could check here

JaysunOne, Its going to be Canada day weekend(1st of July), look out for cops on the way. During that weekend, there are a bounch of stuff happening in Quebec city, David Usher is playing outdoor(it might be free) and usualy there is a big firework show either at the Momorencie fall or on the Plain of Abraham. Its a must see, very nice.

Also if you feel like checking the Citadel, I beleive its going to be openned to public.

          Have a nice trip.
Its not gone yet and I already regret selling it.

JaysunOne, I could team up with you at the junction of the 401 and 416, just before Cornwall and ride with you all the way to Quebec, if you feel like it. Anyway, let me know.

                Underarmor helps....

To answere the comfort questions, I found that when I wear cotton tighty-whiteys (as my wife calls them) or boxers, there seems to be a thick piece of material at the seam under each cheek that seems to rest right where I'm sitting. I switched to underarmor long shorts (mid-thigh) that really make riding comfortable. They don't bind at all and provide excellent breathe-ability and wick moisture great. Hope that helps--I wear mine on ANY trip over about 5 miles--I think they're great.
My Hawk might not be powerful, but she's slow.

i was thinking about wearing a pair of tighty- whiteys and stuff a bycical gell pad in there and just sit on it. thats a &10 fix if it works.
