well... i admit it.. my motor is crap.

ive had a small leak on my left cover... i keep telling myself.. that oil leak.. thats from the cover... even though i know better..

well just now i decided... lets confirm what i already know..
i pulled the oil soaked breather off... eew, oil everywhere... lets clean it off first.

i plug the hole, spray it down, get it clean.. start up the bike.. it runs for about 5 seconds and i go... OH yea.. the plug..
i shut off the bike, and pull the plug out..

    *PFFFFFFTTTTT*
a burst of air flys out from the just plugged hole

    dammit.
i start the bike with nothing there and put my finger over it... with every fire i feel a large burst of air..

that, and how dirty my oil gets in notime tells me.... i have bigtime blowby.

i guess i cant complain.. it has 95k+ on it.. heck, she might be over 100k.. all on the stock bottom end.

so i suppose the question now is..... now what?

i dont have a ton of cash, or id just go nuts at hords shop.
i was just looking over there.. i suppose i could get his 700cc kit and the cyls bored... thats about $400 there.

i guess the only question is.... is it wise to do that with that stock bottom end? hmmm.. if not, then whats my next cheapest option.... i dont have another 1000 sitting around or anything...

You coould trade me your motor and a little cash?

I have a stock motor that I was going to build, since yours is in need of building...

    What do you think?

hmm... how much cash? if you were going to build it, was it because there was something wrong with it? or was it just "its a stock motor" and you were going to upgrade it? how many miles?(aka, could i later mod it without cracking the cases?)

this sounds like a cool possibility. i could swap out motors FAST.. even if i put a 700cc kit in, that means atleast 2 weeks downtime.. that alone has me intrested..

One of our Hawks was built into a 153 cammed 696 at 55k miles on an all stock bottom end and it's now nudging 80k.Will your bottom end last?Hard to say but I don't cover the clutch out of fear on it.
