    TBR Rearset Quest!

I am still looking for a TBR rearset for the Hawk. If anybody has even seen this rearset let me know as I am beginning to feel like I am insane.

I actually only need the right side.

I love the look of this set, I will trade my newly installed woodcraft sets for just this one side (pref. both though) if somebody can come up with it (them)...

Are you looking for the rearset adaptors? Little alloy triangles which swing your stock footpegs back. If so, I have a pair, PM me if you want them.

If it's the whole footpeg assembly, sorry I can't help you.

Exactly. Imagine unbolting the bottom of your footpeg hanger from the frame, and swinging that mounting point back about 1.5" That is exactly what these triangles do.

intresting..... maybe i'll make myself a set before i start to ruin anothe perfectly good pair of boots... lol.

i was thinking about making a set of rearset plates anyway, but this idea sounds MUCH easier.

If I've not heard anything from JL by Monday, I'd be happy to send them to you. Bear in mind I'm in England, but as they're small, it shouldn't cost much to ship. Also note that you may need a shorter master cylinder. Suzuki GSXR items are just right. A search of the Hawklist archives should turn up info on which.

Dude, I can measure mine up if you don't want to experiment. Let me know before I send them off...

On a side note here, if you're using any kind of aluminum bracket be it the TBR triangles or a homemade plate that moves the stock rearsets up and back, its a great economical way to get more race friendly geometry without breaking the bank. When I went down at VIR last month all I did was bend a cheap aluminum bracket but my rearsets and more importantly the cast mounting points on the frame were totally undamaged. My buddy that went down on his SV in a CCS race the next weekend is out ~$250 in woodcrafts.
