    Check this out...
the Revere 600 .. I'd heard of it but not seen... interesting....

Shaft driven SSSA ... wonder how reliable it is???

Odd... the rest of the bike is pretty darn close....
    An "oh $hit" bar?

Now THOSE are some rearsets!!! Just take the front ones off!!! AND room for luggage!!!

    Thought I'd share...

1989 Hawk GT - As a whole, it is gone, but it now lives vicariously as a small part of several other Hawks on this website.

What a coincidence! I just looked out of the window while reading your post and saw a fully fared version ride past, a red one too Otherwise, I don't really see them that often while out and about.

That would make a great tourer. (Well, it is a tourer....) Doesn't have the same racy "look" of the Hawk, but it's got a 5gal tank

It has the same looks.. but is pretty different....
The frame is steel.. has a shaft drive... and is a
real common site over here... (holland) great and
ultra reliable tourer... ~But Deftrap's right.. it's clunky
        1989 type I - F2 front end - Technoflex rear shock - K&N Filter - Dynojet kit - Braking Discs - Rizoma indicators - Rizoma mirrors - hiperform exhaust... hmmm what's next?!

Close up it's horrible, nasty. Clunky where the Bros / Hawk is pretty - like the ugly sisters to cinderella by comparison. I can't explain it, it's just wrong ...

yes the Revere was a 600 and when it went to 650 it became the NTV.
As Al says not pretty but very reliable. My NTV done 90,000 miles and the only thing that went wrong was the neutral switch.
They then added a load of plastic fairing to it and called it the Deauville but they didn't keep the SSSA.

                Hmmm,
Used to see loads of them living in London and working by a couriers hang out.
Frankly I think they are a pile of poo.
The shaft drive makes em look all clunky and the frame is welded steel rather than nice ally ala Hawk/Bros..
Good for couriers but stick with what youve got (well if youve got a Hawk that is)...

Revere is what Honda gave to us Germans instead of Hawk (these suckers). Hawks never came the official way. Of course the Revere is a very reliable und easy to handle bike - but: IT'S UGLY
So get a Revere for traveling and all day rides and additional a Hawk to love it

                  bye, M.

I wonder what it would take to put the shaft drive on a Hawk.

                        At least 5bhp I reckon!

I've seen more Reveres in London than 650 Bros / Hawks. They look a little bit wrong up close & they're the reason people often refer to the Bros as a courier's bike, dammit.

                          Mentok,
I used to work on Great Marlborough Street and when grey bikes were very popular the courier's did used to use the Bros and it was very popular.
But usually a winter approaches the shaft drive machines come back again..

Yes, it's true I've seen a few Bros couriers as well.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just that I showed mine to a friend at work who rides a gsxr and he said 'oh, it's one of those courier bikes'
