screw in my tire!

so i realized last night when i was checking my tire pressure that i have a screw in the rear tire (i can actuall hear the air coming out), damn. right now i'm running a Bridgestone Battlax BT35R 150/70/17. A few questions:

1. Is it ok to just replace the rear tire with another Battlax if the front tread is ok? Tire brand will still match.

2. Anyone have experience with the Battlax BT014? I'm looking at going with the 160/60ZR17.

3. How much should I expect to pay to get a tire mounted/balanced?

if its only a small screw you can get them to patch it.
if you do make sure they patch from the inside! that means taking the tire off and appling the patch. there is the tar stip patchs that you can do your self with a $7 kit from your local auto shop. i have used them with no problems. i had a screw only two weeks after putting a new tire on. did the tar stip patch and the tire held air untill i had no tread left and it was time to replace.

but if the tire is close to being done you might as well replace it.

has for replacing both tires at the same time dont worry about it.

i usually go through two backs for every front.

proper patch is usually refered to as "plug patch," done from inside. probably no problem to repair rear, front plug patch carries worries.
