    awesome ride for tomorrow

This has got to be the coolest stretch of road in western washington! I have yet to do it.....until tomorrow morning!! (not on the hawk though )
I have many friends that have done this and say it is intense on a sport bike, I'll be on my cruiser tomorrow, but I'll let you know what it's like. Zoom in and follow the road, it looks like it has some nasty hairpins.

Map multiple locations, get transit/walking/driving directions, view live traffic conditions, plan trips, view satellite, aerial and street side imagery. Do more with Bing Maps.

Hell yeah! I am planning a trip to Deadwood, SD (from Cincinnati, OH) and am now planning on actually taking the Hawk! I've gotten to where I can make 400-500 mile trips in adequate comfort. Can't wait to hear how it went.

When are you going to Deadwood? That's about 9 miles from me. There's some fantastic roads around here. (except for during the rally, when they're so choked with Harley's you can't exceed 35-40 mph, actually going on right now).

I believe the week just after Memorial Day 2008. (9 day trip - gotta plan it as there are 6 of us going) I'm either renting a carrier (or buying one) just in case weather gets too retarded, but I think I'm goinjg to try to get into the Iron Butt Club... I think it starts at 1000 miles in 24 hours. We're going to be pretty much a hord of tourists invading the place... spawned, I believe, by the series Deadwood on HBO.

            Cheers

Well, Deadwood's the place to be invaded by tourists, if there ever was one. 1000 miles in 24 hrs on a Hawk? My ass just screamed "NOOOOOOO!" when I read that. You've got my respect. Drop me a line when it's closer, I'll certainly buy your group a round.
