Seeing all your alls videos has got me excited to try it out...should be here in a couple of days, where is a good place to mount them???? Mine can be mounted to a helmet, but I like the videos that are on the bike, the turns look more dramatic...

yeah, it is a Tony Hawk cam, don't laugh, it was cheap and came with editing software...Available anywhere I think, I know best buy has them, but I got one cheap on ebay...comes with a 32mb card, I am going to have to get a bigger one for more than a few minutes of record time...Oregon Scientific makes a atc2000 model that I think is super nice, but it is close to 100.00, and didn't know how much I was going to use this thing, that is why I went for the tony hawk action cam...If I end up using it all the time I'll invest in a more expensive one I guess...You can get this one I bought for like 50 new, or 30 used on ebay...Who knows this one may be great quality, when I get it I'll post a test video and you all can decide...Damn right it's a Hawk GT

Shoot, it is only a 15 frame rate camera, there is a couple of sample vids at the bottom of this web address using it:
One of a track day, it is ok I guess, just a little choppy b/c of the frame rate...I'll see how mine works out and let you all know in case anyone wants a cheaper helmet cam...Damn right it's a Hawk GT

NIce.... with those cams though recording is really crappy moving from a shady road to a sunny road... it creates this really weird glare with cheaper cameras. I had a 15 fps camera that I used and it kind of sucked and pissed me off... BTW, I fabricated a mount using a polyethylene cutting board, some allen head bolts, and bolt to mount the camera... I mounted it to the gas tank where the gas cap was ($6).
You know your a hawkaddict when you check ebay and craigslist every hour for parts to upgrade

Well you were right the frame rate sucks, and the light changes do to...Plust the software is the gayiest I've seen...Oh well it was cheap and good for some things I guess...What do you all think, uploading it to youtube even made it worse, I guess I'll be getting another oneguess you get what you pay for...This would be ok for shooting action, but not for the fast pace changes riding a bike makes it looks much better on my hard drive than on youtube, I guess they compress them or something when you upload...Oh well...

One thing I can't stand is the choppiness, and the resolution sucks ass too IMO...But the chopiness (frame rate) is so crappy it makes me look like I am going sooooo slow...To give you an idea, that road is a 35mph road, most of the time I was doing at least 55mph...In the video I look like I am doing 12mph, pisses me off, oh well live and learn, anyone want an action cam????Damn right it's a Hawk GT

Livevideo.com is a better place to upload than youtube. the video quality doesn't get compressed anywhere near as much and you can upload 100mb at a time.'88 Bros NT650J
