    Anyone finish the centre exhaust?

I was looking around and noticed a few of you were toying with the idea of doing a centre line exhaust like on the Buells. It' s about the only thing I like on the Buells. The stock blasts have a neat pipe. It looked like a belly fairing. Just wondering. Any progress Pixel375?

i want to do that with my twobrothers system

the TB pipes are the best for this because they run centered under the bike. but from what i understand it can easly be done with a m4 system as well.

      what do you have?

i just cant wait till it cools down a bit, 100 deg. in the garage sucks!

I'm running a stock system right now. It's in great shape but I'm always looking at things I could improve. I rode a Blast in a course I did a few years ago and was really taken with the exhaust. The bike would vibrate your balls off, it was a 500. I've never known a bike to shake so much at idle! Never a loose bolt on that bike... they've all vibrated out! But the exhaust was a novel idea.

What pipe did you use as a base for your set up?

I am interested in what header(s) (and what modifications to them) that you used.

                    not sure
the challenge is the fact that the stock headers run off to the right side of the bike a little bit. so mounting a short can offset is probably going to drag on the right hand turns.

As Jaysunone noted it works bst with TBR headers. (thats what i'm running) I went to the local bike wrecker and got a re-packable oval can. The one I used was a Vance & Hines SSR. About 4" was cut off of the front, a steel 2-hole front plate, a baffle to keep some backpressure, and an extended and angled exit pipe in stainless to keep the heat away from the tire. I also filed off the centerstand lugs on the frame. If I ever take it apart I will take some pictures.
