Well, I guess I'm not sure. The back part (close to the seat) Should probably get a Lockhart clear adhesive type to protect from belt buckle/button scratches, which is best? I'm getting some airbrush work in front of the gas cap and I will some times use a tank bag so I think I'd like to investigate some protection for that area too...

I use thick clear mylar that I get from work. I think it's 3M too. I think LP is similar stuff.
