    Am I hurting my Hawk?

Just bought a hawk 650 a few days ago. Is it safe to cruise at 6 or 7 grand.
I feel like I really have the bike rapped out at 90-100 mph.

I know that my bike in particular likes to cruise at around 3-5 grand in the city. If you want a lower RPM when going blazingly fast, you should look in to changing your rear sprocket to allow a lower RPM.

ive ridden it at a needle width off the limiter for 12 hours almost no-stop (only stopping for fuel)

my usual "spirited ride" is generally about 3 hours long. 2 hours of it being above 7k.....

and hwy cruising is 5 grand or higher.

its been ridden this way by me for years... no engine problems yet. LOL

just keep an eye on your oil.. the PCV system sucks... so you tend to blow a little when you do sustained high RPM...

We race stock hawks and keep the revs up for the 15 minutes we race em...
