    83 Honda CB1000C

Anyone know anything about these bikes? They had a 10 speed tranny and were quite heavy at 611 #'s but apparently they have a cult following.

I have found one for $1,300 in good condition and might take a closer look at it if these bikes are worth it. I still like big bore bikes like my old school Gixxer but would like to find a cruiser style. Maybe a V-65 Magna would be a better option?

Are you sure on the 10 speed tranny? I believe that 5 speed would be on a bike of that year.

They have a low/hi range 5 speed tranny, so it comes out to a 10 speed.

WOW! 250k miles out of anything is amazing, even more so on a motorcycle.

The 1000's came with the same dual-range sub transmission.
