I get my 900 tomorrow!

Welp..I finally get the 900rr tomorrow.The guy I'm buying it from is meeting me half way. It is a wrecked bike..missing a tank and the subframe..BUT..guess what I already have sitting in the garage? You guessed it. A tank and subframe..
So, maybe I will be able to actually take it for a spin around the block tomorrow. Doubtful, but if all the planets align for me....

not to sound pesimistic but I find it doubtful that if the bike was wrecked enough to mangle the tail and tank to the point of discard, she'll be road-worthy in less than one afternoon. Days are longer this time of year, though, and I've built frame up bikes and had them on the track same-day...so anything's possible. Hope you don't get any suprises.

haha yea, I have my doubts too. but we'll see. The frame doesnt seem to have any scratches on it. His friend wrecked it and insurance totaled it. I honestly dont think it was wrecked too bad, the frame doesnt have any scratching or any damage that I could see, looked new. clip ons and everything else looked ok. He bought it back from insurance and I think he started working on it and just never did anything with it.
The bike has a salvage title..but me living in the greatest state in the world, once I register it here the title will be clean again.
But yea, I wont be bummed if it takes more than an afternoon of work.

Ahh I got the bike. It looks pretty damn good, the shifter lever is broken..and the swing arm top mount peice has a decent whack in it.
I got the subframe on and everything hooked up that way.. I dont have a full set of tail plastics for it yet.(im missing the middle peice with the tail light bracket..)
Appears to have a full D&D exhaust system on it, rejetted and a K&N air filter, along with an ignition advancer.
Right now I have its battery on the charger and I am going to try to get it started up.

Ahh..the bike started right up. Got the gas tank and everything else on fine..after a trip to the hardware store tomorrow I think I will take it around the block!

Well, I got a lot accomplished sunday night and monday..

There is a pic of the bike..Im missing the center tail peice and tail light plastic piece and the passenger seat.
I have a gas cap in the mail.
So, now its just deciding exactly how I want to do the front..
The thing is so ballsy it scares me!
