    Motivation Poster I made

    "Suck, Squish, Bang, Blow"

    well, isn`t that the truth

My brother rides a TL1000R, and I love to get on his case when he can`t keep up in the tighter sections.

standard reply: "I wasn`t trying, you were in the way anyway"

What was the start of all this?
When did the cogs of my Hawk begin to turn?
Perhaps it is impossible to grasp the answer now,
from deep within the flow of time...

But, for a certainty, back then,
I loved it so much, yet hated so many.
I hurt others and was hurt myself...

Yet even then, I rode like the wind,
    whilst my laughter echoed
    under cerulean skies...

brakes are ok, but TL`s tend to go wide.

I find it horrible things. but my bro loves BHP so there you go...

        primitive ape...

now the TL i rode did have diffrent fork springs (since the dude weighed the same as me.. a hair over 200..) and it had the usual upgrades, including stainless steel brake lines..

            maybe that made the diff..
but it wasnt a bad bike to ride... not as flickable as a hawk of course, but most roads dont demand that kind of tossing anyway... by all accounts the TL SHOULD be faster.... it just takes a better rider to get it there then the hawk requires.

                    yea.
they were a bit twitchy if you got lazy... so you put some squid on a twitchy bike with bottom end torque and he goes and splats himself.

go race mini-bikes, and you'll never think they're twitchy again.

Anyone here ever rode a GPX600R? or GPZ it`s called in the US I believe...

that was one scary machine. you could just feel the frame bend when you leaned over at high speed. and the front was even more dreadfull than the stock front of a Hawk

still, it made one hell of a sound with its BSM Vampire.

that`s why I now have a BSM Carbon Vampire on my Hawk

Reads like it was written by a grumpy 80 year old man. "oooh those danged late model sportbike riders!"

                              This doesn't:

'88 Hawk GT - back in the saddle
                              '99 Suzuki GZ250 - the first

'87 Suzuki GSXR1100/1207cc - traded to get my Hawk back
