    My Fender Eliminator Project!

    Hey guys,

Big thanks to those of you who offered me help and/or to give me one cheap, but I just decided to make my own for the fun of it. It turned out awesome I think, makes the whole bike look better. Now I just got to get rid of those dumbo signals. I've got enough aluminum left over for maybe 2 more if anyone would like one, just give me a few bucks for my time and pay shipping, if not I guess I'll just chuck the aluminum, it was just so damn expensive lol...Anyway you all tell me how you think it turned out!

Looks sooo much better cfiiman. And you are right about the stock blinkers, they are fugly. I need to get mine changed too. When I look at my shadow on the ground I can't help but notice them sticking out and ruining the profile of my shadow

In the time before you find some after market signals you like, you can remove the floppy rubber stalk from the stock signals. Thats how mine are, looks much better shortened. You'll probably need a shorter bolt but thats an easy mod.

Do you need a license plate light in KY? I'm getting everything together to start on the Monster seat mod and will eventually have to fab something up for a plate - the bike isn't registered at the moment since I'm busy gathering up all of the mod goodies for the front and rear.

you're using the wrong (stock) mounting stalks is your problem.............Honda also sells very short stalks which you can change over and makes a much better look!!
the problem with the ultra-small aftermarket signals is that they are JUNK!! bad materials, bad manufacturing;they fall apart or corrode, and not as visible as stock units.

You can also buy short stalks from Dennis Kirk (not an endorsement).

I've been running Buell signals for about five years now I think. Definitely not junk. You'll be pleased. Just make sure to get the correct ones (can't remember if it's only fronts or only rears that work). Oh, and yes, the painted midpipe does look better than rust.
