    Lite 'N' Bolts (douglass?)

    Hey all,

I picked up some "lite n bolts" plate led bolts and they are bad ass! Wicked cool blue/white glow around the liscense plate now, which I need b/c of my fender eliminator...Anyway, only thing I see, and it may not even be a problem, is that on my plate you can make out the plate in the dark from like 10 feet away, but if you go much further the shadows caused from the raised/stamped lettering in the plate make the plate numbers hard to see real clearly...I could care less, b/c someone directly behind you at night could see it fine, but has anyone else experienced this? The glow these led's give off is awesome, and it looks real trick, just was thinking the plate would be easy as hell to read with them b/c they are so bright, but b/c of their placement directly against the plate, it just cases slight shadows around the raised letters...Anyway just wanted to see if this is eveyone's consensus who uses them.

I got them from a local bike shop of all places, it is a new aftermarket parts store specially for bikes, go figure. I passed it yesterday while riding and was like wtf? So I turned around and went in and there they were. They were marked down from 29.99 to 14.00!!! So I snatched them up, but I was going to buy them on ebay, and they run 19.99 + shipping which is high for how small they are but that is just the way the seller is, I think it is like 5 bucks or something. Anyway like I said they are bad ass, and cause a real cool effect from the led's. Just do a search on ebay for lite n bolts I think.

This is just how they work. You could try shimming them with washers for more height but frankly, why bother? If the cop following behind you with his light bar on can read it okay, what more do you need?

I'm lucky that in CT there's no such thing as an "inspection," just "violations" and I take my chances with those.... the local cops are nice.

I would never openly admit to not having any lights on my license plate but I don't know if moonlight can be considered OEM? Like Doug we don't have inspections. If your behind me your lights are gonna reflect off my plate much brighter than if I did have a light. But hey, i'm not all too really worried about a ticket :P

I got mine off of ebay. I think the name of the store was fly'n cycle.

WV has probably the most thorough and anal inspections short of PA, but thankfully, no sniff testing.
