    Carbon Fiber Racing Stripes

Ok my friend's brother in law owns a graphics shop in Austin. So I can get pretty much anything I want cut if I pay for materials. I'm thinking of getting
carbon fiber racing stripes. I think it will go well with satin black paint. What do you guys/girls think? Any other cool ideas?

Carbon fauxber is icky IMO- I'd do a couple off center racing stripes in either something like metallic red or blue or stealthy cool like a dark metallic grey or gloss black.

              wheels

yeah I wasn't crazy about the wheels at first. I was thinking about spraying them black. But now they are growing on me.

carbon fiber look vinyl is gay im my opinion.

"real" carbon fiber thats actually a layer of CF showing, with fiberglass matt under it.. is also gay.

actual lightweight CF parts, however, are really cool.

Dood, go black-on-black with a gloss black stripe on the satin black base!!! That'd be sweet!

CF tape... eh, not so much. Reminds me of the Fast and Furious racer-boy wanna-be's with their Toyota Batmobiles parked outside the Pep-Boys while they picked up the latest copy of Import Tuner, back when I lived in Queens. Nice cars sometimes, but the fricken spoilers on those things... and you can always tell that the carbon fiber decals are about as cheap as the Calvin Pissing stickers on their rear windows.

                  Gloss black stripe. Yeah.

                    I agree!

As a side note, I've got a CF hood and trunk on my car, it's painted but stripes of CF were left showing and clear was flooded in wen it was painted. I've had guys laugh at my "stick on stripes". They shut up when they see the under side or they see me drop the trunk lid and watch it float down and land on the gasket with a poof!

yea, i wanted a CF hood, but i couldnt justify the cost vs weightloss.

                      stock hood fiberglass replacement (aka bolt-on) 20lbs. -- $300
stock style liftoff fiberglass hood 14lbs. --$200
stock style liftoff carbon fiber hood... 7.5lbs. --$750
