    My Buell Signal Install

    Hey guys,

Half way through the install so far and everything is great, ran out of splices so I need to make a trip to the store to finish the front, probably will do that tomorrow, but I wanted to post a pic of the one just loosely bolted up compared to the stocker, HUUUUUGGGGEEEE difference, looks awesome, I'll get some really good shots when it is all finished...This shot I have the amber lense removed, but I actually stuck them back, I am not sure if I should go to the 1156a's b/c I am not sure I mind the faster blink rate, would definately get you noticed more I would think which would be a good thing, any thoughts?

Definite improvement - would an inline resistor help slow down the blinking rate?

Ok, here is a few more shots of the rear finished, I'll have to do the fronts tomorrow, looks so much better, sorry for the crappy shots, my camera is not that good, and it was getting dark, so if I used the flash everything is too bright, so no flash, but not great pics b/c of that, let me know what you all think!

Well guys, she's done, and man does she look nice, this Buell signal mod is one of the best things to make your GT look better IMO, so glad I found this board and found the article on doing this, sooooooooo worth it! Total cost, with signals, 1156a lights, nuts and bolts, splicers, was right at 60 bucks, money VERY WELL spent. Tell me what you all think:

Fork brace but I'm not sure who it is made by.

I don't know, it is called a "superbrace", anyone know what it does? I have wondered myself, it was on when I bought the bike.

The purpose of a fork brace is to eliminate flex by increasing the rigidity of your motorcycle's forks.

It is a fork brace- It ties the two fork tubes together so there is less/no flex.... not really needed on the hawk imo.

Nice mod- nominate for hawk of the month sometime!

I had a SuperBarce on a set of CBR600F2 forks on my RZ350 (about 320lbs bike) and it made a big difference in how the front of the bike handled. I found the brace on ebay for next to nothing and knew they made a big difference on the stock RZ forks but did not think that it would make a difference on a set of CBR forks on a 320lbs bike but the brace did do its job.

The fork brace will tend to stiffen up the hawk forks to be as stiff as most USD forks.

Just my 4 cents worth of info!
