    Where to get battery

    Hey guys,

My battery seems shot if I turn my lights on and screw around with anything for a minute or two it won't start, battery just dies, 10 minutes on a trickle charger battery tender it is back to full strength, wtf??? I know batteries can be funny, and this is the one the previous owner had in it, which was pretty dead when I picked it up...She does fine, always starts when I haven't been screwing with the signals and stuff like I was doing today...Anyway should I just get a new one? If so, can I pick one up at a local store or does it have to be special ordered...Kinda like when I was reading an article on our oil filters, I didn't know there were so many different types you could get, I found mine at Pepboys of all places, and it was blue even lol! Anyway let me know if there is a generic battery or something that would work, or if I need to get it special from a place, and if anybody has any idea how mine could be dead one minute, and a few minutes on a trickle charger it is fine, let me know thanks,

    Jason

When batteries go they go all at once. Id recommend going with a sealed battery they are about double the add distilled water kind but there is no maintenance(filling it with water when the cells get low)and they last twice as long. Also if the bike goes down for any reason the caustic water doesnt leak out.

Ditto on Walmart... $50, the cheapest you will find for a quality maintenance free battery. Lasts just as long as yuasa.

I got an Interstate from the dealer but it cost me $69.00; no biggie, it should last several years plus it's on a battery tender.

I hope so. My original yuasa battery lasted about 15 years. I just wish my car batteries would last that long.
