A custom part, Rad end cap

Well I just made this as a prototype and want to see what you all think of it. The one problem is that I didnt give enough room for the rad screen to fit in it. Do I need this metal screen? Right now I have only on side made and it is flexable because its only one layer of fiberglass. But what do you think of it?????

It looks good to me! You do not need the radiator screen BUT is serves as protection since the radiator is very fragile and any number of small road debris items can puncture your radiator. As long as you are going the custom route I would get a piece of stainless steel screen and make you own radiator screen as it would be much lower profie and look much cooler than the crappy stock one. By the way if you want to get that cool carbon fiber look you can just buy black fiberglass cloth. Nice job!

i would make that back part that covers the hose smaller, its to wide.

but other than that looks like a good start

That's a great start - I'd only tweak a couple things (and I plan to - I'll be trying my hand at this, too!) - you need to make the edge that touches the frame match the angle of the frame more I think, right now it's kind of off...
One other thing - the rad caps in the Japanese pics have a raised shape to them - the sides aren't flat like that! Of course, I know yours are just prototypes, but what I'm planning on doing is carving the mold out of wood, so I can get that raised shape... I'll post pics as soon as I've got something worth showing.
