Frustrated and pissed off! Street parking vent....

Ok, forgive me but this is the last straw.

My bike has been run into and vandalized to many times.

I went out today to find my Hawk again put out of service by some vagrant loser.

This is the 5th time this year the Hawk has been in a vandal / parking incident! ! !

I'm losing money every time-no witnesses / no compensation. It's all cosmetic--runs like a champ, starts right up every time. . .

    I guess I can't have a bike here in Hoboken. ....

    Pardon me as I vent. . . .

Dude... that really sucks! You can always get one of those SUPER sensitive to bump alarms for $200... That way if any jackass tries to sit on your bike for kicks or wants to kick it over, it will go off and scare them away to never come back again!

Dude that does suck, I am pissed off just hearing about all you've been through this year, hey don't know if you have thought of a storage locker, but that would remedy the situation...I know they can be expensive about 100 bucks a month around here, but maybe you could find someone to split with you or something? Good luck man...
Damn right it's a Hawk GT

you come flying out of the house with a baseball bat and chase them down the street.

then you know they wont come back.

Dude, I feel your pain. I lived in Queens for, what, two years? and thank god I never had a problem, but I damn near had heart failure every time I chained up my bike for the night...

My solution was to rent space in somebody's garage for $75 a month. Parking on the street - and I'm not talking about having your own driveway, but parking out by the curb - is asking for it, and it freaking sucks when you don't have a choice.

You gotta find a parking garage, or park in a friend's garage, or rent a parking space, or something... because the only kind of bike you can park on the street in a city is a rat bike. If it's not a rat bike, it will be, if you don't keep it garaged!!!

                      Yup.

                      People suck.

I need a front brake lever, new clipons, signals, and new pegs.

The pegs are the only problem.

What pegs can I put on this thing?

Hey Jeremy, hit me up off-list or call me, I've got stock pegs for you if you need (even temporary).

I had a rehearsal studio in Jersey City for a while, with THREE tiers of chain link & barbed wire around the lot, and my car or van was broken into every single time I went there. Got to where I left it unlocked just so they wouldn't break stuff to get inside. They once took my bag of dirty laundry, I had to buy new underwear & socks to go to work the next day.

Thanks, but I'm going to have to order replacement parts anyway.

What I really need to know is specifically which pegs will fit the stock rearsets.

i got a set of two brothers pegs but those havent been made for years

I've got a pair of aftermarket pegs that were meant for an SP-2 that went on without any grinding.
