Vapor speedo - need factory tach harness?

I'm planning on going with a Vapor speedo/tach mod and need to know if I need any of the stock harness that connects to the stock tach and indicator lights on the upper panel cover.

    Thanks,

I'm not sure about the lights, but I know the tach on a vapor, along with being very finiky, wont run off of the stock tach wires.( you wrap the wires around the coil or the spark plugs) The temp gauge is run off of a thermometer that comes with the vapor I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.
    On Hawk rebuild number 3...

That's what I was thinking. The Vapor also comes with an optional indicator panel (dashboard) with lights for neutral, high beam, oil temp, and the turn signals.

I've read through just about every old thread about the Vapor and there wasn't any mention of using the dashboard or stock harness but I just want to make sure that I don't need any part of the stock wiring harness.

Doesn't sound like it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
