Hawk racer from NH is in Florida and needs help URGENT!!!

    From Gino or nt650hawk...

A co-racer of mine just arrived in DAYTONA FL and just found out that a strap
holding the bike slid and pressed the starter button the entire way from
Massachusetts to Florida. Aprox 1700 miles. Obviously you can do the math.
Starter button pressed for a long time = cooked starter. He will not be
practicing today and will be looking to tear the bike apart to see if he can do
anything about it. I am trying to help out and reach out to anyone in that area
that may have a starter that works to help out a fellow HAWK that will be racing
in DAYTONA in the Race of Champions this week. Chris followed in my steps and
is the 2007 Amateur Ultralight Superbike Champion. He is doing what I should
have done last year. Please help. E-mail me if you can help. I will provide
    his cell for contact.

If nothing comes into fruition he will end up bump starting the bike.

    Thanks

I just talked to Chris. He got the starter out and tore it apart (the brushes and associated bits). It was heavily glazed over. He took some sandpaper and with a little elbow grease he was able to get it working, for now. Fingers are crossed that he will be able to make it thru this weekend. Right now he is helping Norman change his sprockets for practice in 20min. Thanks all. He will be looking for a starter this winter. If you are in Fl and have a starter look him up.

Yup, try walking in from out by Lake Loyd. It really gives you time to think...

Also when your out in the tri-oval don't look up at the NASCAR fencing because it only reminds you that you have no business being there.
