    A nice Fall saturday afternoon.

Wath do you do on a nice fall saturday afternoon when you're ride is in peices and winter is just around the corner?

The Harley/Buell dealer in area was having a demo ride, so I decided to go try out the XB12Ss lightning(long) and the XB9cityx. With all the reading and the comments I have heard, I was quite impress with the ride, specialy from the XB12Ss. Power is not an issue and handling was nice from wath I could experience. Frankly I was a bit disapointed when I tried the Cityx, I was expecting a bit more it felt like I was a giant and the seat was weird(too wide) whith both feet on the ground allthou once in the riding position it was fine.

I could easily see a XB12Ss in my garage next to my beloved Hawk so I can switch around when one is in need for work.

What do you think of the Buell products and what is your feeling regarding reliabilaty?
Its not gone yet and I already regret selling it.

Well, I like their turn signals!

Personally I've never liked Buells. Although some of the lightnings look alright, they just have a goofy body shape. I have no first hand knowledge of anything about buells really, aside from a guy I know that had a Blast. In my opinion their outward appearance alone puts them out of the question. But also I've never heard any complaints about them, so...I'll leave it to older, more experienced persons to prove that you should just buy 4 more Hawks instead of a Buell .
    I know I dreamed you,
    A sin and a lie.
    I have my freedom,
But I don't have much time.
    Faith has been broken,
    Tears must be cried.
    Let's do some living,
    After we die.

Don't know about the Buells, but it'd be a similar category bike as the Hawk, IMHO (a sporty naked). Personally and from personal experience, I would opt for having different category rides. Maybe get a cruiser, an enduro, dirt or tourer? This way, when one bike is in disrepair, you will still have another 2-wheeled ride at your disposal.
...remember, traffic signals sync'd for 35mph, are also sync'd for 70mph...

Never thought of that, it's a good idea. I just feel very confortable on the streetfighter or naked style bike.
