    Speaking of Laconia...

If anyone is Military, prior military, DOD, military dependent or government employee, or even family of such...(maybe even long lost brothers or cousins ....)

I may have some availabilty for lodging near Laconia next year.

I am the President of my chapter of the Green Knights (military motorcyclists) here in Vermont and the New Hampshire chapter is looking into getting Billets and a chow hall and inside storage for bikes!!

Who is interested? You could come up and see the races!!

I brought this back up because we are just under three weeks away from Laconia Bike Week (June 8 through June 17)! Laconia is one of the oldest gypsy tour bike rallies in the states (and one of the the biggest). It all happens in and around Weir's Beach, Laconia, New Hampshire, and at nearby Loudon, site of the New Hampshire International Speedway. As you can see from Doc's post above he has a location for you to stay at. I also have a great location- a private campsite on the lake in Lockmere- located between Tilton and Laconia. If anyone would like to come and camp there I can get you directions (it is a little tricky). There are a dozen or so other campers in this private site. We do some riding, watch some racing, drink a few at the end of the day around a campfire, etc. Most are on harleys, this year I will have my hawk. Bike doesn't matter, friendliness does. Cost is $25/nite, a little steep, but nothing compared to the owners taxes. PM me if you are interested.

I will be going for the first weekend- the vintage racees are in downtown laconia on Sunday the 10th. Unfortunately I have a full time job so no week long biker bash for me (this year). Doc- are you guys racing the classic on the 16th and 17th?

I just tried to find the downtown races and I can't find any info about it. Maybe the guzzi riding superfast guy from last year put an end to the downtown races this year. He lapped everyone, wore an open faced helmet and a flapping rainsuit, and looked like he was out for a sunday ride and just happened upon a racecourse. They had to flag him to slow him down! It was a race though the downtown business district after all, not the speedway!! Oh well. If I find anything about it I'll let you know. This was one of my Laconia favs
