Why overnight temperatures make U.S. heat wave even more excruciating - 00:03:52

I was watching a video about the Israeli six day war and they said the reason the soldiers did so well in the desert was they were required to drink one litter of water every hour.

They said marching under those extreme conditions you could loose up to 20 litters of water a day.

    Keep hydrating! !

They say by the time you get thirsty you're already dehydrated !

And if you see a kid or pet locked in a car ,( motor not running ) even if the windows are partially open ...
    call the police

Seriously, 90* temps and people are complaining? We have seen 100+ in the northeast in the past, and while uncomfortable it really isn't noteworthy. Just another example of the 24 hour news cycle needing to rile up the masses.

Waves of human migration into nth america, then to sth america starting out from the arctic (you know the first people of nth america, then the next wave - europeans sailing across the atlantic from just south of hte arctic circle - saxons, vikings etc)

cold war reference to american armed forces and their world travels - usual outside the box stuff

              usual bear poking stuff
