Ugh. What's with the goofy triple mounted bar/clamps, and Kawi 650R inspired rearsets?!

Pull all that crap off and might be a nice looking bike. Like the numbers.

Think I'll wait for the RS250/SRX550 hybrid...

I always thought the Ducati Monster 600/620/695 was the Hawk's replacement. I'd sure like to own one. For being their absolute entry bike, it's about all I'd need.
'88 Hawk GT - back in the saddle
      '99 Suzuki GZ250 - the first

'87 Suzuki GSXR1100/1207cc - traded to get my Hawk back

Yes the Aprilia is a very nice bike. BUT I just wait to the day somebody break the new Honda Deauville, so that I can get the cylinderheads with 4 valves. Maybe they fit.
Maybe the heads is the old ones, from your old dirt track racers, you used overthere (USA) and also was used on the Paris/Dakar racers in the 80s
They was laying around, and when Honda cleaned up they found them

makes some clip-ons work on the front end and some rear-sets for better more agressive riding ...and it would make my list of bikes I would buy.
I'm also waiting to see if bmw will make a 800twin "r" model. Naked triumph 675 would be nice too.

Yeah, the Monster is sorta the neo-Hawk. But I think what's really replaced us is the SV, right?

For as long as I can remember people have talked about a Hawk replacement.Replace it with whatever you want but unless it says Honda Hawk GT on the side, the friggin thing ain't a Hawk, will never be a Hawk and can therefore not be "the new Hawk".
I have "replaced" my Hawk with: a GSXR750,2 ZX-7R's,900RR,ZX-10R,750SS and 996SPS Ducatis... but I still have my Hawk...because it's a Hawk and it will always be a Hawk. There were faster and better bikes available when the Hawk was new,it should be no surprise that there are faster and better bikes now...but they're not Hawks.

Suzuki was smart and the SV has been a huge success because it filled the gap Honda tried filling before it was ready. Some people have made some friggin insane claims about what the "new Hawk" is- like the Speed Triple.Er,great bike but it ain't very much like a Hawk in any way that I can see on a functional level.

Hmm,people believe in stranger things...wonder if the gov't will give me tax-exempt statust for a religion based upon the second coming of the Hawk?

Re: the Monsterettes.A decent Hawk is a better bike than the little Ducs- they're really not very good.If you're digging on the Monster, a lightly used 900 is a MUCH better bet for the same money.

Thus spake Joel, high priest of Hawksterianism.

Well put, bud. There is only one Hawk GT and the rest just fill the gap to varying degrees. I think what we all want to see is exactly what you said - "Hawk GT" splashed across the side of a 2008 model Honda. What Honda doesn't understand is that they could throw new bodywork on exactly the same bike and it would sell. And it would mean decent spares for the oldschoolers...

Would it still count if it had "Honda Bros" on the side?

Also I think Aprillia broke into the Yamaha factory as that Aprillia looks like the Yamaha MT03 ............!!!!!!!!
