LOL. Also it's fun to see how some of the performance myths were born, and are perpetuated.

Were they pricks? Certain people around here take issue with the idea that anyone not on their own 'approved personality lists' could ever accomplish anything worthwhile (especiallly with a hawk).

That said, most racers, especially accomplished ones, and especially, especially, formerly accomplished ones have a certain amount of hubris.

The mythology of this bike is high, and like any myth, it does not well match reality. Just like how fast I think my bikes are!

I thought it was cool when they were around anyway - in spite of the Erion's liberal interpretation of their performance numbers, I wish we would have been more welcoming as a community.

First and foremost they FAKED dyno results and showed somthing like a 60% HP gain (maybe even more) from installing one of their pipes.

Dude that was bad.. it was like they ran it on one cylinder then plugged in the second with their pipe.

They where dicks. It went beyond cocky racer shit and straight to "ohhhhh... You are a fucking asshole" territory.

We have our fair share of Chucky racers here, they come and go. We get it and tolerance is high for that. Those dudes where next level.. and they got a very warm welcome.

Till they out stayed that welcome, which is hard to do here. Lots of people get a luke warm welcome, or even a harsh one.. but when you have been around for any amount of time you get a level of acceptance, no matter how hard you may be.. grating on this community enough to be rejected is hard. Very hard.

This coupled with what Riot said earlier, is maybe why we have a retention problem, I think a lot of folks bail out of this forum before they reach "acceptance" and that's a shame.
