I’m contemplating getting the new MotoGP 21 game but don’t know anything about the hardware (game consoles) that’s best ... I gotten lost in trying to digest the gamer “techno-speak” searching online ... also evaluating the mountains of controls and headgear ... and then, what services to subscribe to
in order to remotely race with others.

    Anyone savvy?

I scored a PS4 when my buddy finally got his PS5. I played thru PS2 and PS3 with Grand Turismo up to GT6 and a cheap Logitech steering wheel set. Now I have GT Sport and GT7 on order. I'm not a fan of motorcycle games as there isn't realistic controls (yet). The arcade one where the bike tilted was fun.

Now, I plan to up my sim racing experience a few notches. I have a few feet of aluminum extrusion that I will build a racing cockpit and add the latest Fanatec direct drive wheelbase, steering wheel and pedals. Then I'll look for a manual sport seat with sliders to bolt to the sim frame. I'll play it this way before upgrading. Load cell brake pedal and suede steering wheel will be next.

PC based gaming systems are the best but I'll use what I have. PC based games can support three monitors and more hardware choices.

This is all I (don't) need - another hobby!!

I've played the last MotoGP game a little. It's my favorite racing game.. but I play with my boys and my friend, all of who like instant gratification so we play a LOT of Forza. We just had a text thread about starting MotoGP again.

If you get frustrated easy, not a good game. You need to suffer through a few hours of not being able to keep the bikes on track before you can start to work on all times and racing.

Great game. I just use Xbox for the old one with a $29 headset from Walmart. I have a full wheel setup for the car games.
Don't spend money and buy, spend time and learn.
