    I may be back, going to look at an ‘88

    Well I sold my racing NT696 last year that’s why I haven’t been around, but I found an ugly duckling that needs love and attention…
    I'm going to look at it later today, it’s about 90 minutes away. They say it runs very well and has no rust in the tank, so sounds like a good starting point. It has the most outrageous windshield/fairing on it.
    wish me luck

    I feel like I know that bike from somewhere!?;

    Good luck, hope it's in better shape mechanically than aesthetically..

    Those wheels.....

    Good luck welcome back!

            Man may have been a wizard and needed to block front on spells from getting him.

            Or maybe a clansman?

                  Gas tank is rotted so bad fuel was dripping ‍♂️
                  I said I’ll drive 90 minutes if the tank has no rust, damnit

                    You asked if there was any rust IN the tank. There is NO rust IN the tank. It all fell out through the holes.

                    Sorry you wasted your time.

                    Offering $100 would be generous at this point.

                        I said I’d load it up for $500, it did run well, but he said he’d lose too much and I said “yeah, you’re going to lose money on this since it’s almost worthless without a tank” ‍♂️

                          F2 tank is pretty easy.

                            Tank, cowl, and carburetors. That's all a bike is worth. Everything else can be had for cheap.

                            "Perfect except for a dent on the tank and a couple of cracked tabs on the cowl," is like saying, "my Babe Ruth rookie card is mint... except for the creases and dog-eared corners. But I still have the bubblegum."
