Let the PO ride the Hawk

We bought our Hawk from a fellow MSF instructor I work with. He commented on how it was looking and sounding good so I told him to hop on and ride it. He did, I took his FJ1300 and we tore through town and then out the back roads to my house. He got off it and said "dammit, now I want it back." and there is no way he's getting it back but we're on the hunt for another one for him now that he knows I can make an F2 tank work on them. He only sold because quotes to fix it were well over $2k as he thinks he can't do what I did to get it back on the road. He can set valves, change oil, bleed brakes etc. so he really could have done what I did to fix it, glad he didn't LOL, but now we need to find him a replacement.

There are some decent ones that have been coming up for sale. The key is finding one in your area! That's where shit gets tricky haha

Exactly. we're North of Northern Maine and the market is super small. He's traveled as far as Boston for bikes though so maybe something will come up.

Mark is his name but he's never been on the forum, didn't even know about it before I told him I was using it to help get his old bike back on the road.

Sounds like Gino has one and he is Boston. I could probably meet up with him and get it as far as the NH Maine border for you.
