  • 2022 Fabian Parts Purchase!

Some of you may be aware of our German based forum member Fabian, who produces durable, high quality fiberglass replacement and accessory parts for your Hawk.

I utilized Fabian’s Corbin rear cowl and full hugger on my Hawk, and I couldn’t be more pleased. They’re much more durable than the stock OEM ABS plastic parts provided by Honda. (Note the parts do not come finished and will need to be prepped for paint).

To inquire with any additional questions or comments, please reply to this thread. That way we’ll develop an FAQ that may not have to be answered multiple times.

    ***HOW THE GROUP ORDER WORKS***

Fabian fabricates the parts and when the group order has been completed he will ship the bulk box to me here on the east coast (North Carolina). To get bulk pricing, we need to sell a minimum of 6 parts. If we are under that number, an additional fee of ~$5/part will be incurred. Once received the parts will be sorted and shipped to the buyer.

    ***PARTS AND PRICING***

Tail Cowls (fits both OEM and Corbin seats) 185 Euro (~$190)

Pillion Covers (OEM seats only - Fabian suggests ordering them with the tail cowl for a better, handcrafted fit) 70 Euro (~$75)

Race Tails (includes frame spacers - seat to be fabricated by user) 175 Euro (~$180)

Race Tail Seats 50 Euro (~$50)

Belly Pans (not compatible with M4 headers) 100 Euro (~$105)

Full Hugger (Rear Wheel and Chain Guard) 90 Euro (~$95)

Mini Hugger (Rear Shock) 54 Euro ($~55)

Fenders (CB1 and Custom OEM style) 90 Euro ($~95)

(NOTE: US dollars are approximations as values constantly fluctuate. Use conversion on PayPal for greater accuracy).

    *** PAYING FABIAN FOR PARTS***

To purchase your parts: 1) Pay Fabian directly for the part(s) when you place your order. Add 13 Euro for large items (seat cowls, huggers, race tails, etc) and 6 Euro your for smaller items (pillion cover, mini hugger, etc) for bulk shipping costs. 2) Once the parts have been received here in the US, PayPal me for shipping from NC to you (plus insurance and handling, etc.) and 3) Some additional shipping charges for additional insurance, etc. may be billed in arrears. Details are described below.

When paying Fabian via PayPal, please pay using the currency converter provided through PayPal and send in EUROS ONLY - NOT US funds. (If you send in US funds, PayPal charges Fabian to convert to Euros which is a decent amount particularly with several parts), so please adhere to this method. Please try to be exact. Small amounts may not seem like much, but if there is a short on a number of parts that could add up. Once Fabian’s email address is added, the currency convertor should automatically convert US Dollars to Euros. In PayPal comments, PLEASE include your FORUM USER NAME, GIVEN NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS and specific part you are ordering in the PayPal notes. After you send the funds to Fabian, send me a PM with the SAME INFO including the MAILING ADDRESS for parts delivery. Once confirmed with Fabian that he has received the funds we will update the purchase list and also post on the list of paid buyers.

Fabian’s PayPal address is fabian at tappendorff dot de

***SHIPPING OF PARTS IN THE US***

When the parts arrive in the US, I will ship them to you. You will be responsible for paying shipping costs to you plus a handling charge of $25 for all parts (except for cowls, race tails and rear huggers, which are larger and thus require bigger boxes, a good bit of padding and care with packaging, so the handling charge for them will be $30). The additional charges are for time plus materials (boxes, packaging material, tape, fuel, etc.). Each part will be properly packaged so that it arrives to you in perfect condition from the post office.

Parts will ship via UPS. Insurance will be added based on the price of the item with $100 minimum, but a proper insurance price will be placed on items higher in price. Insurance will get confirmation. Shipping charges will be made prior to mailing and any overages will be billed to the buyer.

I will request shipping payments through my PayPal account: flyinelvis at me dot com.

    ***GROUP PURCHASE RUNS August 15 - Sept 1, 2022***

All required payments to Fabian must be made by Sept 1st or your part will not be fabricated. Shipping charges from North Carolina will follow when parts arrive in the US. All shipping charges must be paid in full prior to shipment to your destination.

This may seem like a complicated procedure, but it has served us well in the past.

Please keep in mind that I am a volunteer and as such will do my best to accommodate your needs. Previous sales have gone without a major hiccup, I hope the 2022 sale will yield the same results.

Sorry, I'm lazy, but the link below to the 2015 group order will provide you with images of the available parts.

Our Hawks have all the power any mature, sensible rider can use on any street or highway without carrying around excessively unnecessary big-bore weight and power - squirrelman

Bike builds can be and most time are art and expression. To take something mass produced and impersonal and make something personal that you can't stop staring at as you walk away. These were the prices as provided to me by Fabian. With the fluctuations of the Euro, he's been chasing costs.

Actually making payment to Fabian will get you on the list (or it will once you forward me the info). I'm ordering a cowl, too, so I'll get the ball rolling there, soon...

Yeah. I think I'm a bit confused on what Items are descripted as. I own a Fabian tail cowl but I see now that I was thinking "Pillion Cowl"

So I think the part you're referencing is the passenger seat cover for the stock seat, referred to as a "Pillion" cover by the Europeans...

Correct. my mistake. I'd love to have one as I never ride two up, but my Corbin gunfighter + lady won't allow it.

So if I understand this right I pay Fabian $265 + 13 euros? then I pay flyinelvis for shipping?

Is the Custom Modern hawk fender still an option from the 2015 order? I thinking of dropping the pillion cover for a fender instead
