  • PARTS Available from Canada?

My dampening rubbers turned to powder today and I need to order a set. Ron Ayer’s has them in stock. I tried to find a number to call but all they had was a fax machine
would any suppliers have them in stock in Canada? I’m shut down from riding until I get them.
Would there be any chance the Honda dealer could source them? I plan to order fork seals and carb intakes as well.

Replaced mine a couple years ago.
Local Honda dealer ordered them from Honda Canada. Delivered within the week.

So I called the local Honda dealer. I will have the dampers tomorrow, a little costly @15 each plus tax, but I have them pretty quick. They can also get the get the carb insulators 24ea, fork seals 40ea. All prices in Canadian rubles. I always figure anything I order stateside that costs 100usd don’t be surprised if it costs 200cad by the time I receive it. No savings but over night service and I don’t have to pay if it gets lost in mail.

Nice, I was gonna say if you ever want to order something major out of the US parts wise, I go over to Houlton a lot and would be able to grab it and put it on the bus to the Valley. Costs about $20 for the ride usually. I've grabbed exhausts etc. for friends in MTL and saved them hundreds over buying in Canada or shipping into Canada. That being said my cush rubbers were $45 USD to Houlton and I'll pay tax at the border so came to $65 CAD on the visa so you only paid $10 more and got them faster. Mine just shipped yesterday.I was looking at fork seals on Fortnine and they are 29.99 for the set, All Balls which I've used but OEM are probably better, they take 3 days to land from them usually.

I use to drive to Houlton when visiting my daughter in Oromocto, probably just as close to go to Calais I paid a bit more but not my problem if the parts gets lost in transit
            thanks for the offer

No worries. It's a long drive to get parts from Windsor. I'm 15 mins away. I try and help fellow motorcyclists when I can.

Fork seal SK - there's a thread from JanM. with the part no. Works a charm when installed with a bit of patience - you can buy them in Canada from a local bearing supplier.

Has anybody posted the part numbers?. A friend suggested you could probably order the seal from Napa if you knew the equivalent part number.

I removed the rear wheel and took apart the Cush drive, half of each rubber was gone to dust. I’ve given everything a good cleaning. No damage anywhere.
Am I going to regret not taking everything apart and greasing cleaning everything?

No damage so far but the eccentric lock nut was not tight. The staked nut looked to be never messed with
