  • Finally bit the bullet for a new Penske 8975DL shock and Corbin seat

Anyone have this shock on their bike, and if so how long did it take to get your compression and rebound dampening dialed in?

You need to use the search feature a little my friend. There is probably 20 years worth of info on the Penske...
88 Blue Hawk GT - Under construction but rideable (guest approved)
89 BlackHawk 2.0 - On the lift and being assembled
90 Hawk GT (color as to yet be determined) - Still on the shelf in crates

I have this shock on my bike; when I ordered it from Hordpower he asked about my weight and what I wanted it for. It came really nicely dialed in. I put it on the bike as is and have raced and done track days with it subsequently. Of course I am not one of those people that has great "feel" for what the bike is telling me but I am really confident with the setup as is.

It felt pretty good on the 1 ride that I did when I put it on. I'll experiment with the settings a little to see if there's a little more to get out of the shock.
